Converge/\Diverge Open Day at Tamara Date Farm

Converge/\Diverge is the collaborative practice of ceramic-based artist Holly Macdonald and dancer/ choreographer Rosslyn Wythes. Together they explore the intersection of dance and ceramics.

GETTING THERE: This event is at Tamara Date Farm, a 1 hour drive from Alice Springs, off the Santa Teresa Road (not at Watch This Space). Convoying is required to not get lost; so is a 4WD (or all-wheel drive). Participants are asked to meet at Watch This Space at 9:30am for a 9:45 departure, to arrive on time together. Likewise, we'll convoy back to town together at 3pm. Once you've booked your spot, please add your details to this spreadsheet here for carpooling (as either a driver or passenger).

FROM THE ARTISTS:

For the first two weeks of July we, Roz & Holly, will be in residence at Tamara Date Farm. Join us at the Date Farm for a day of sharing on Sunday 17 July. In the morning you are invited to join a guided ClayXDance workshop. We will work with drawing, movement, and handbuilding in clay to explore collaboration and intuitive expression. Get curious, step outside your comfort zone, get your hands dirty and move your body. Prior experience isn’t necessary.

Bring a plate along for a shared lunch following the workshop.

After lunch we will host a discussion, sharing objects, movements and ideas that we have been exploring during our residency.
