30 Metre Community Canvas
and the Cinema

Watch This Space invites you to participate in a live community painting project.

On Saturday 7th August we will roll out the green carpet, all 30 metres of it. We invite you to pick up a brush and paint your memories of the movies, your stories of the cinema, straight onto the canvas.

We will supply:
- Canvas
- Paint
- BBQ
- Music

Be part of history as we prepare the final touches on an ambitious project to reconstruct the deckchairs of the old Pioneer Open Air (Walk-In) Theatre (1941—1984). With special thanks to local carpenter Martin Oostermeyer we are moments away from improving our monthly Walk-In Cinema experience with 40 new seats. This commission pays homage to the original chairs of the Pioneer, with your paintings to adorn the canvas upholstery for decades to come.
