Flora Ephemera workshop with Ruth Ju-Shih Li
Collaborative Ephemeral Clay Sculpture with Ruth Ju-Shih Li at Watch This Space as part of the Australian Ceramics Triennale in Mparntwe/Alice Springs.
A hands-on, collaborative clay workshop that uses clay to connect and share stories. Attendees are invited to join the artist in her meditative process, learn to make organic floral forms and collaborate in building a single ephemeral clay sculpture together. The ephemeral sculpture will then be left outdoors to slowly disintegrate over time.
This workshop is presented as part of Drawn by stones, a 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art touring project. The exhibition and associated programming is presented in partnership with Watch This Space and the Australian Ceramics Triennale in Mparntwe/Alice Springs from 22 July - 6 August 2022. The Drawn by stones tour is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW and the Australia Council for the Arts, with development support for this exhibition provided by the Ministry of Culture Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, and The Gordon Darling Foundation.
