Itinerant Art Project
Itinerant: Traveling from place
to place
An art project about homelessness
The Itinerant Art Project is a collective of artists with lived experience of homelessness and housing insecurity who have been working together since 2018. We do arts and storytelling workshops, share information and advocate to improve the homeless experience, and make art.
We came together to share story, both with each other and the public, raise awareness and break down stigma of homelessness / itinerancy, create community connections, and to tell our story, our way.
We do painting, drawing, writing, audio and film, using mixed media to make artworks that intervene in the public environment, creating opportunities for people to engage with us in new ways, to have a conversation. Share our stories.
