Watch This Space “RnR” Remote Residency Series

In an effort to connect with and support artists from outside of the NT WTS has developed a new remote residency series titled RnR.

The RnR series is in response to NT border restrictions wiping out our Travelling Artists in Residence (TAiR) program. The TAiR series is one of the core programs WTS offers alongside our yearly exhibitions whereby interstate artists travel to Mparntwe/Alice Springs to participate in a month-long studio based residency.

Our new remote residencies will take place on our Instagram for one week at a time.

Artists will take over our account from Monday – Sunday to share musings, works in progress, their studios, projects and selves. These remote residencies aim to bolster networks around this little ARI in the desert at a time when connecting with interstate friends feels even further away.

We look forward to intimate digital catch ups with artists who we have previously contributed such vitality and diversity to our community.

WTS is committed to supporting artists and offers these residencies on paid commission.
